CAMEROON GIVE ALGRIANS BROKEN HEART IN WORLD CUP QUALIFIER
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon broke the hearts of Algerians yesterday in the wake of qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
It was highly predicted that The Desert Foxes of Algeria would go ahead of Cameroon. This was after they pipped Cameroon by a lone goal in Duoala in the first leg played last Friday.
A late goal in Extra Time by Carl Toko Ekambi was enough to break the hearts of all Algerians. Eric Chupo – Mouting opened the scoring for Cameroon after 22 minutes of play to take the scores to 1-1 on aggregate.
Algeria had the chance to equalize and make the aggregate scores 2-1 at 117 minutes in Extra Time to the eruption of great cheers from the fans. Their joy was cut short at the 124th minute when Ekambi sloted home Aboubakir’s header with just some seconds to end the game.

Morocco Destroy DR Congo
Meanwhile, the Atlas Lions of Morocco had a very good day at the King Mohammed VI Stadium when they destroyed Democratic Republic of Congo 4-1. The first leg had been tight for both sides as it ended 1-1 in Kinshasa.
Azzidine Onahi scored a brace for Morocco in both halves respectively. Tarick Tissoudali scored one goal for the Moroccans in the first half. The second half saw Asharaf Hakimi scoring one to make it four. Ben Malango pulled a consolation for the Congolese side at the 77th minute.

Mali blame themselves
In other news, Mali held Tunisia to a barren draw in Tunis but were not fortunate as a result of an own goal.
The first leg ended 1-0 in favour of the Eagles of Tunisia after Mali scored an own goal by Moussa Sissako.
Both sides failed to convert the numerous chances created in the game leaving the qualification to be decided by the own goal.
