Duncan was a shadow of the fighter who ran roughshod in Cage Warriors that night in Las Vegas.

And SunSport can reveal he’ll look to bounce back from his first professional loss against undefeated 185-pounder Cesar Almeida at UFC Fight Night 232 in Sin City on November 18.

Former GLORY kickboxer Almeida – a three-time opponent of ex-middleweight champion Alex Pereira – fully transitioned to mixed martial arts in 2021.

The Brazilian has gone 4-0 in his MMA career and punched his ticket to the UFC last month with a decision win over Lucas Fernando on season seven of Dana White‘s Contender Series.

Duncan, the protege of British MMA icon Mark Weir, has enjoyed a mixed start to life in the UFC.

He was victorious in his debut against Dusko Todorovic at UFC 286 in March, although he had his hand raised courtesy of an unfortunate first-round knee injury for the Serbian.

His second outing, however, didn’t go to plan as he found himself outstruck by flashy striker Petroysan.

Prior to his first professional defeat, Duncan revealed he was happy with the step-up in competition Petrosyan posed.

He told SunSport: “I’m happy with the way I’m climbing with the UFC.

“It seems they’re giving me challenges early, which has been in my career so far and has got me to this level so quickly.

“I welcome these challenges and I’m looking forward to stepping back in there.”

UFC Fight Night 232 will be headlined by a middleweight showdown between Scotland‘s Paul Craig and middleweight prospect Brendan Allen.
