Emma BoatengNew England Revolution have announced the signing of Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Boateng ahead of the 2021 Major League Soccer season.Boateng joins New England for his ninth professional season and sixth MLS campaign after stints with Columbus Crew SC, D.C. United, and the LA Galaxy, in addition to three years in Swedens first-tier Allsvenskan with Helsingborgs IF.The soon-to-be 27-year-old has reunited with Bruce Arena, whom he played under at LA Galaxy for three years.Ema Boateng is an experienced left-footed attacking player with very good pace. He is comfortable playing on the flanks, which is an area where he can help improve our team. Revolution Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena said.Emas character and professionalism will be welcomed additions to our team, and we look forward to his arrival in Foxborough.Boateng played in three games with D.C. United in 2019 before joining Columbus via trade later that season.He played in 10 league games with Crew SC in 2020, with two additional postseason appearances en route to winning the 2020 MLS Cup.
