MedStar reported that a person drowned in the Marine Creek Reservoir, according to local CBS affiliate KTVT-TV.

Horrifying video from the scene appears to show the Fort Worth Fire Department pulling a body out of the water and putting it in a body bag.

Police have not released any information about the person they pulled out of the water.

A run-swim competition event for the 2024 CrossFit Games started at the lake at 7 am – just an hour before emergency crews were called.

Before reports of the drowning came in, there was speculation that a swimmer had vanished.

The reports were sparked by footage of a competitor in the event struggling in the water.

The event was set to be live-streamed on multiple platforms, but the video feed has been cut.

The next scheduled event in the competition has also been canceled.

This was the first day of the competition, which was set to continue until Sunday. It’s unclear if the event will continue.

CrossFit has yet to address the incident.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to CrossFit Games and the FWFD for comment.
