Liverpool vs Arsenal betting tips
Title-chasing Arsenal visit Anfield for Sunday’s Premier League clash with out-of-sorts Liverpool. The Gunners have nine finals ahead of them as they close in on their first top-flight crown in 19 years. Liverpool, meanwhile, are just desperate to win a match having not tasted victory in their last four matches in all competitions.
Arsenal still boast an eight-point advantage over Manchester City, but that could be reduced to five if the Citizens win their precious game in hand. Mikel Arteta’s side are out of all cup competitions and have the luxury of aiming their full focus on domestic duties.
Confidence couldn’t be much higher in the Arsenal camp after a run of seven-successive league wins with a colossal 23 goals and three clean sheets along the way. They’ve received another boost in the shape of Gabriel Jesus, who scored a brace on his return to the starting XI.
It’s a completely different story for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. The Merseyside outfit played every possible match in all competitions last season, but find themselves in eighth position with 43 points.
Liverpool are a full ten points behind fourth-placed Manchester United and qualification for the Europa or Conference Leagues looks the realistic target. Their goalless draw against Chelsea earlier this week means they’ve blanked in three of their last four.
Explosive…
The reverse fixture between these sides earlier this season was a five-goal thriller at the Emirates. And conditions suggest we’ll see a repeat of that at Anfield on Sunday.
Arsenal simply love scoring and will look to capitalise on a Liverpool side severely lacking confidence.
The Gunners have scored four goals in each of their last two matches, while only two sides have scored more at home than the Reds (Arsenal and Manchester City).
Our tip: Over 3.5 goals scored at 6/4 with William Hill

Saka’s back(a)…
He’s back! Bukayo Saka enjoyed a rest against Leeds last week, entering the fray with 30 minutes left on the clock.
The England international, 21, has been crying out for that rest but is more than likely to assume his role on the right flank. Saka has 12 goals and has provided ten assists in 29 appearances this season — his best ever return.
He has also enjoyed a fairly profitable run against Liverpool in recent years, scoring twice and assisting three times in nine meetings.
Our tip: Bukayo Saka to score at 13/5 with William Hill
And again…
Fabinho has found himself in the referee’s notebook quite a few times recently. One more and he’ll get a free coffee…
The 29-year-old has collected seven yellow cards this season with four of those picked up in the last seven matches. A lot is being asked of the Brazilian, who is struggling to find any kind of rhythm.
He’s conceded 14 more fouls than any other Liverpool player this campaign (34), and he’s likely to commit a few more trying to blunt Arsenal’s pace-filled attack.
Our tip: Fabinho to be carded at 15/8 with William Hill
