Germany vs Belgium betting tips

Germany’s rebuild under Hansi Flick continues against Belgium on Tuesday.

The 58-year-old is under pressure to transform Germany’s fortunes ahead of next summer’s European Championships, which they host in June.

Flick received a fair amount of criticism following Germany’s elimination from the Qatar World Cup at the group stages.

It was the second-successive World Cup that Germany had failed to progress to the knockout stages, and significant improvements are expected if they are to win a record-breaking FOURTH Euros.

And, as hosts, Germany have already qualified for the European Championships, so Flick has the opportunity to tinker and trial new options for next year’s competition.

Die Mannschaft tested out an unfamiliar 4-2-2-2 for their 2-0 exhibition victory against Peru on Saturday.

Belgium got life under Domenico Tedesco off to a flyer against Sweden in qualification.

Romelu Lukaku netted a hat-trick to give the visitors at 3-0 win in Group F with Belgium managing 13 efforts on goal.

If it ain’t broke…

Tedesco will be particularly delighted with the link-up between winger Dodi Lukebakio and Romelu Lukaku.

Lukebakio, who plys his trade in the Bundesliga for Hertha Berlin, is relatively new to the international set up having earned six caps.

But the 25-year-old wasted little time in proving his abilities when providing two assists for Romelu Lukaku.

He’s enjoying a good campaign having returned 11 goals and provided three assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.

Tedesco is unlikely to change too much for Tuesday’s clash, and Lukebakio is a big price at 8/1 to score anytime.

Our tip: Dodi Lukebakio to score anytime at 8/1 with William Hill

Mastermind…

Having managed at Schalke and RB Leipzig, Tedesco understands German football better than most.

And he could put that to good use on Tuesday with his revitalised ranks having made short work of FIFA’s 23rd-ranked side over the weekend.

Belgium clearly don’t mind travelling having lost just one of their last six clashes on the road.

With Romelu Lukaku looking back to somewhere near his best, and Germany expected to continue trailing their new formation — a settled Belgium could take advantage.

Our tip: Belgium draw no bet at 9/4 with William Hill

The system…

Romelu Lukaku was clinical against Sweden having scored with three of his four efforts on goal.

No player in that Belgium XI had more chances, and that shouldn’t be too much of a surprise given Tedesco is an admirer of Antonio Conte.

Conte got the very best out of Lukaku at Inter Milan, and it’s interesting to see that Lukaku didn’t waste his energies running around the pitch and only had 21 touches.

We think it could be a similar situation this week.

Our tip: Romelu Lukaku first goalscorer 5/1 with William Hill
