SOMETIMES you just know.

And that’s the case with this genius punter, who turned a modest £2.50 into a colossal £6,660 with their inspired double on Sunday’s Premier League action.

The Betfair customers clearly felt that Aston Villa and Newcastle would dominate proceedings against Chelsea and Sheffield United when creating an #OddsOnThat double at 2639/1!

Our mystery bettor backed Villa to win in addition to having the most corners and shots on target in each half.

As if that wasn’t difficult enough, they paired with Newcastle to have the most corners and shots on target in each half, along with Sheffield United to commit the most fouls in each half.

The bet started out well enough with Villa having six corners to Chelsea’s four, and three shots on target to two when the half-time whistle blew.

Winning selections

Betfair

Aston Villa to win, Aston Villa most corners each half and Aston Villa most shots on target each half

Newcastle most corners each half, Newcastle most shots on target each half and Sheffield United most fouls in each half

Stake: £2.50

Odds: 2639/1

Returns: £6,660

Malo Gusto’s 57th-minute red card really helped our bettor with Villa winning another five second-half corners and having four efforts ion target with Ollie Watkins eventually bagging the winner.

One down, one to go…

Having gone in at half time with a 3-0 advantage, you would have expected this one to be rather straightforward. It was not.

The foul tally and shots on target weren’t in doubt, but both sides had won two corners each until Blades goalkeeper Wes Foderingham tipped over an effort from Anthony Gordon in the 51st-minute of the first half!

The rest went to plan as Newcastle thumped their opponents 8-0, but our punter was the biggest winner of the day – pocketing £6,660 from just £2.50!
