Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal, 16, to sign new contract with outrageous release clause amid Prem transfer interest
BARCELONA wonderkid Lamine Yamal is set to ward off Premier League interest by signing a new contract with an outrageous release clause.
The exciting winger is the youngest footballer to play for Barcelona this century, having come off the bench in April’s win over Real Betis aged just 15.

Yamal then became Spain’s youngest-ever goalscorer at 16 when he netted in last month’s win against Georgia.
The teen’s incredible rise saw him land on the shortlist of several Premier League sides, including Treble winners Man City.
But Yamal is set to commit his future to Barcelona.
That’s by penning a long-term deal with a stunning £1billion clause, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Xavi Hernandez is keen to ensure Yamal goes nowhere following nine impressive senior appearances.
The La Masia product is already a smash hit with fans.
And with age on his side, Yamal could have the potential to rival Lionel Messi’s Nou Camp legacy.
But he isn’t the first to pen a deal with a stunning £1bn release clause.

Young midfielders Pedri and Gavi both have the figure written into their contracts, as does Brighton loanee Ansu Fati.
Defenders Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde also have £1bn clauses.
And wingers Raphinha and Ferran Torres agreed to the bumper fee when they joined Barcelona too.
The defending champions are hoping to make it back-to-back titles this season.
They are currently second in LaLiga, going unbeaten in eight matches with six wins and two draws.
But rivals Real Madrid are currently top of the pile by a single point.
And all eyes will be on the first El Clasico of the season, which takes place in Catalonia at the end of October.
