BARCELONA LOSE SECOND CONSECUTIVE GAME AT HOME

FC Barcelona have lost their second home game after succumbing to a one nil defeat at the hands of Cadiz.

The Blaugrana have failed to win their last two games at their Camp Nou home after losing to Frankfurt on Thursday and Cadiz today.

They have repeated a bad record that happened 19 years ago. This is the first time Barcelona have lost two consecutive home matches since April 2003.

Xavi and his Barcelona side lost their first match since December 2021. They have been exhibiting some scintillating football from Xavi but their recent form has been questionable.

On Thursday, Frankfurt eliminated the Spanish side in the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Europa League. Barcelona lost 3-2 at home after drawing 1-1 in Germany.

In the La Liga game played today, Cadiz got their goal through Lucas Perez on the 48th minute. The first half had ended goalless after Barcelona failed to convert the few chances created.

The Yellow Submarines kept their shape in defense to frustrate the Blaugrana from penetrating. Goalkeeper Ledesma was also on point at any point he was called to duty.

Their last La Liga game before facing Cadiz was against Levante. They won narrowly in a 3-2 score-line.

Barcelona now have 60 points at second position but have an outstanding game against Real Sociedad. They face the Basque team on Thursday.
