Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Sarkodie to earn Black Stars call-up – Report
Emmanuel SarkodieAsante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Sarkodie will reportedly be rewarded with his debut Black Stars invite after impressing head coach Charles Akonnor.According to media reports, Sarkodie will be named in Black Stars squad for next months Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.The 24-year-old, who joined Kotoko before the start of the current season, has become an important player for the Porcupine Warriors. He has been key in the club’s rise to the summit of the table after a slow start.
Sarkodie joined the 23-time Ghanaian champions from Division One League side Nkoranza Warriors SC on a three-year.
Ghana will face South Africa on March 22, 2021, before facing off Sao Tome and Principe before the month ends.
Akonnor is expected to name his squad in late February.
