Arsenal star gets yellow card BEFORE he’s even made Premier League debut in bizarre scenes during Man City clash

ARSENAL whizkid Myles Lewis-Skelly took an astonishing Etihad clash to new levels of bizarreness.

The sub, 17, was booked midway through the second half – 25 minutes BEFORE making his debut for the the 10-man Gunners.

The reason for the England Under-19 midfielder’s yellow card in the 65th minute of a thriller at champions Manchester City was unclear.

But the Londoner was caught in an exchange of words and referee Michael Oliver had no hesitation.

It came as the Gunners clung on, deeper and deeper, to a 2-1 half-time lead at the champions.

Riccardo Calafiori’s brilliant curver and a rising header from Gabriel Magalhaes had overturned a typical early opener from City striker Erling Haaland.

But Leandro Trossard earned a controversial red card for a soft second booking just seconds before the interval.

So amid a series of other dramatic incidents, it was perhaps no surprise that the two dugouts shared the tension.

But a caution for Lewis-Skelly still stood out for its strangeness.

Social media reacted with bemusement.
