ANDY BEAN, an 11-time PGA Tour winner, has died at the age of 70 after suffering complications from a double lung transplant, according to reports.

Bean had been suffering respiratory issues ever since contracting Covid, before he underwent the transplant last month.

Bean featured in the Ryder Cup in both 1979 and 1987.

He failed to claim a major during his golf career, but finished as a runner-up on three occasions.
