The battle of the Eagles will also take place in Tunis as Carthage Eagles of Tunisia welcome the Eagles of Mali. The latter lost at home by a lone goal and would have to double their efforts to overcome favourites Tunisia.

One match which involves non- West African presence is Morocco facing DR Congo at home. Bothe sides settled for a 1-1 draw in Kinshasa. Morocco are expected to win and qualify.
