AEK vs Brighton preview
It’s a big night for Brighton, who can secure safe passage to the knockout stages with victory against AEK Athens.
The Seagulls are second in Group B on seven points, and will move themselves six points clear of their opponents with a single game remaining.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are one point behind leaders Marseille and would dearly love to top the group to avoid having to play in the Round of 16.
That should be enough to see Brighton field a full-strength starting XI, despite a trip to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Brighton returned to winning ways with a very credible 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and have now lost just once in their last nine matches in all competitions – and that came against Manchester City.
As for AEK, they’ve won their last two outings and sit third in the Greek division – although they tamely lost 2-0 to Marseille at home at the beginning of November.

Pascal Gross looks a safe bet for a shot on target this week, at around 10/11.
The Germany international, 32, has registered 15 attempts at goal in 11 league appearances this season, and only Evan Ferguson and Kaoru Mitoma have managed more on target than his seven.

Joao Pedro anytime goalscorer
Joao Pedro is ticking along very nicely for Brighton, and is perhaps flying under the radar a touch.
He’s scored eight goals and provided an assist in 18 appearances in all competitions – and FOUR of those goals have arrived in the Europa League.
The Brazilian, 22, netted twice against AEK in the reverse fixture, and enters the contest having bagged a brace against Nottingham Forest.

Lewis Dunk to commit 1+ foul
The Brighton centre-back was awarded a straight red card over the weekend, so looks guaranteed to play the full 90 minutes against AEK on Thursday.
There’s no doubt this will be a feisty affair. The last meeting between these two sides yielded 13 yellow cards, while Dunk has committed seven fouls in the league this season.
