ACHRAF Hakimi’s wife has broken her silence to confirm she has separated from the Paris St-German player after he was charged with rape.

She wrote: “The reality is that a while ago, after a lot of reflection, the father of my children and I made the decision to end our relationship, long before the recent media events that have involved me, which are totally external.”

Abouk also referenced the “pain” and “grief” she experienced due to the separation and the “failure of a family project to which [she] had given [her] body and soul.”

She added she did not imagine in addition to facing the “usual pain that comes with a separation,” she would also have to confront “this shame” as well.

Abouk said: “I needed time to digest this shock.”

Earlier this month, French prosecutors confirmed today the World Cup ace, 24, has been placed under judicial supervision on preliminary charges of rape.

He is accused of raping the woman after inviting her to his home while his wife was on holiday with their kids.

Reports in her native Spain claim TV actress Hiba had already been estranged from him for weeks.

They have not been seen together in public for months.

And following the rape allegation she is “accelerating” proceedings to separate for good, according to Cierre Digital.

A previous Instagram post shows Abouk walking on a Dubai beach with her two young sons.

She captioned it “Adding moments”, and added the hashtags “family first” and one translating as “I’d die for mine”.

In December he became a national hero when his winning penalty against Spain put Morocco through to the World Cup quarter-final for the first time.

He met Spanish actress Hiba while playing for Borussia Dortmund and they married in a secret ceremony in 2020.

Their first son was born that year and another two years later.

In October the A-list couple posed together in a stunning photoshoot in Vogue Arabia.

Hakimi “strongly denies” the rape allegation, his lawyer Fanny Colin said.

She added the decision to investigate him would give him the opportunity to defend himself.

According to Le Parisien, Hakimi had been talking to the alleged victim on Instagram since January 16.

He allegedly paid for an Uber to drive her to his home in a Paris suburb.

She claimed he assaulted her before she was able to free herself by kicking him then texted a friend to pick her up.

The woman went to a police station on Sunday, but reportedly said she did not want to press charges.

Prosecutors launched an investigation due to the seriousness of the allegations.
