Adam Collard says he’s ‘madly in love’ with Laura Woods as he reveals big step at Christmas

ADAM Collard has opened up about being “madly in love” with TV presenter girlfriend Laura Woods – and revealed he’s their taking a big step at Christmas together.

The Love Island star, 28, said he will be sharing his first Christmas with a girlfriend at their house since he was 21.

Adam admitted he was over the moon with how his relationship has progressed in recent months, with plans to move in together on the cards.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about his blossoming romance, Adam said: “Me and Laura are going very very well. I’m very excited for Christmas, I think I haven’t done a Christmas at a girl’s house since I was 21.

“I’m going to go to hers first and then she’s going to come to mine after.

“I’m going to her parents, so it’s pretty special. I’ve met them and they’ve given me the thumbs up – luckily they don’t read many papers.”

The chuffed Geordie lad said he’s very much “in love” with Laura and is looking forward to making milestone plans with Laura – including moving in together.

He told us at the Beauty Awards 2023: “I think the way our lifestyles are, we pretty much kind of live together by accident – she’s got crazy amounts of work all over the place with football and boxing.

“I would go with her, helping her out because otherwise I wouldn’t see her.

“And then when I’m busy with work, she comes and stays with me, so it works.

“It’s a very good test run.”

Adam said TV presenter Laura has always “given him the benefit of the doubt” when it comes to his “bad boy reputation”, which has ultimately made their relationship stronger.

“For someone whose had 25 girlfriends, I’ve really only had three,” Adm said.

“If you actually ask the people that I’ve really been going out with, I think that they would have very different opinions based on how I’ve treated them and she’s definitely given me the benefit of the doubt with that.

“She definitely sees through it.

“It is very hard dating in the public eye because as soon as you go on a date with someone they are instantly in a relationship and that’s not the case.”

Adam said he and Laura had an instant “connection” and winning her over came natural.

The tattooed hunk said: “It was never hard, I can’t remember it being this easy and I think it’s because I’m older.

“I think I’m ready, I probably wouldn’t have been ready a few years ago when I was on TV, I was a jack-in-the-box, I couldn’t do that if I tried now.

“I’m in a totally different headspace now, Laura is amazing, she’s really really amazing and it was always just when I was ready.

“I was her and I think that’s very important.

“As a boy I think you have to be ready.”

When asked what he admires about Laura, Adam gushed: “I can give you 300…I don’t even know where to start.”

Just last month, Laura shared some pics from a staycation with Adam.

In a scenic photo, the TNT Sports host could be seen standing by a lake while wrapping up with a coat.

Just before that, the star broke her silence on the blossoming relationship – and accidentally posting an intimate video of them both.

The stunning TV personality had attempted to share the sweet post with her close friends but instead uploaded it publicly.

Speaking on Aimee Fuller’s Monday Mile podcast, Laura said: “I am really private… I only show you what I’m comfortable showing you – I like to keep it like that as much as possible.

“So, I made a slight error, you know when you upload something to your main feed that’s meant to be like close friends? 

“I didn’t even know I could do that to be fair, but I did, and let me tell you how much that turns me inside out, for people to see anything private about me and a relationship, is basically what it is.

“For anyone to see that part of me fills me with dread. It sounds like it’s a bad thing but only because I associate social media and relationships in a bad way. I’m almost nothing good can come from sharing.

“Maybe I’ve learned, maybe it’s something historic, I’ve never thought it was a good idea to share them.”

The pair were first linked to each other back in September when we revealed that they had enjoyed a string of dates.
