England’s path to Euro 2024 final revealed but one slip up in the group and it could turn into a NIGHTMARE

ENGLAND’S possible route to Euro 2024 glory has been revealed.

The draw for the tournament took place on Saturday evening with the Three Lions set to play Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia in a the group stages.

England kick-off their tournament against the Serbians on June 16, and four days later they clash with the Danes in Frankfurt.

Gareth Southgate‘s will then hopefully seal their spot in the knockout rounds against Slovenia on June 25.

England are firm favourites to top the table after their very friendly draw, and would be set to play the best third placed team from Group D/E/F.

SunSport reckon that it could be one of Austria, Czech Republic or Slovakia.

Progressing from the last 16 would set up a potential tie against Italy in the quarter-final on July 6.

The game would be a rematch of the Euro 2020 final, which the Italians won on penalties.

However, the holders’ route to the quarter-final is far from straightforward and they face a group of Spain, Croatia and Albania to navigate.

England could then play France in the semi-final, giving Harry Kane a chance to get revenge on Les Bleus after his missed penalty in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final.

In the final, the likes of Germany, Spain, Portugal could be the opponents.

But one slip up by England in the group stage and it could lead to a nightmare path to the showpiece in Berlin on July 14.

Coming second could create a clash against bitter rivals Germany in the last 16.

And it doesn’t get any easier if the host nation are beaten with Spain potentially waiting in the quarter-final.

England are then most likely to face Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Portugal in Munich in a battle to reach the final.

Should Southgate’s men come through the nightmare path, it could set up a clash for the trophy against France.
