DANA WHITE has been sensationally tipped to bring a mixed martial arts icon out of retirement to fight Nick Diaz at UFC 300.
MMA‘s top promotion is fast approaching its 300th pay-per-view card, which is set to take place in April.

Rumours over who will feature on the card, the date of which SunSport understands will be revealed in a matter of weeks, are swirling.
The likes of former women’s bantamweight and heavyweight champions Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar have been linked with shock returns to the octagon for the historic show.
UFC president and newly-minted CEO Dana White, however, has publicly shot down the prospect of either fighter ever fighting again.
But that hasn’t stopped former heavyweight Brendan Schaub from predicting a shock comeback for fan favourite Georges St-Pierre to rematch Diaz.
During a recent episode of The Schaub Show, the Ultimate Fighter season 10 runner-up said: “I got a little conspiracy.
“If you look at the lay of the land, most of the big dogs are taken before UFC 300.
“So, UFC 300 I think you’re gonna get Conor McGregor-[Michael] Chandler.
“And then I also think, and I have no inside sources, I didn’t source check anything with this but it’s just what appears what I think this could line up.

“I think UFC 300 you’re gonna get Conor-Chandler and you’re gonna get GSP-Nick Diaz.”
St-Pierre, 42, retired from mixed martial arts in February 2019 – 15 months after returning from a four-year hiatus to claim the middleweight title against Brit Michael Bisping.
The former long-reigning welterweight champion was set to return to competitive action on the UFC’s Fight Pass invitational submission event – against former foe Diaz.
He recently revealed to TSN: “They had an opponent. His name was Nick Diaz.
“People who are familiar with the sport know we (competed) against each other in mixed martial arts.
“Unfortunately, he’s hurt, I think. He has a neck injury, and I just got hurt myself, as well.
“I have a shoulder injury. So I have to wait a few weeks to see if I require surgery.”

St-Pierre and Diaz locked horns with one another over ten years ago at UFC 158 in Montreal, Canada.
Pride of Canada St-Pierre retained the welterweight title with a unanimous decision victory over his then-bitter rival.
The pair’s feud has simmered in recent years, so much so that they shook hands before Diaz’s comeback fight at UFC 266 in September 2021.
He told Yahoo: “First, I don’t have a relationship with Nick. He just happened to be in the same locker room.
“When he came, I didn’t know, you never know what to expect, so I looked at him and he put his hand like this (gesturing a handshake).
“I said to myself,’ Now it is all good.’ So I wished him the best of luck because he was fighting.”
Although UFC 300 has yet to be announced, SunSport understands the historic card will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
