 Ghana forward Bernard Tekpetey is hoping to earn a national team call-up following an impressive season with Bulgarian giants Ludogorets.Tekpetey, on loan from Schalke, has been key for Ludogorets as they clinched the league title this season.The 23-year-old is confident his remarkable season with the Bulgarian side will see him return to the Black Stars for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.”Of course, since I already played for the national team, I will not be surprised to receive a call-up. I try to do my best for my club and after the scouts and coaches follow me and decide that my performance is good and I get a call-up, I will be really happy to present my nation again.It’s all about prayers and hard work, and that’s what I do here.So, if they think I’m doing well and I’m invited, I’ll be happy to be back on the national team, “said Tekpetei.The former Fortuna Dusseldorf winger has already capped for the Black Stars playing at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon.He was handed a callup to the national team by former Ghana coach Avram Grant.Tekpetey was part of the Ghana U-23 squad that played at the Africa Olympic qualifier in Egypt in the AFCON U-23 tournament.The Black Meteors failed to qualify in the tournament.
