Fans slam Wales vs Argentina ‘shambles’ as players suffer wardrobe malfunction in Rugby World Cup quarter-final
WALES were forced to change their shirts at half-time of their Rugby World Cup quarter-final against Argentina.
Fans slammed their kit “shambles” as several players suffered from the same wardrobe malfunction.

Their shirt numbers could be seen peeling off just moments into the match in Marseille.
Some of the printed numbers came off completely, whilst others dangled off the back of the shirts.
The kit issue made life difficult for the officials and commentators as they attempted to identify players during the first half.
Wales changed their shirts at half-time in a bid to correct the issue, with their numbers lasting much better in the second half.
However, it did not stop fans from voicing their frustrations on social media.
One fan commented: “This game is shambles, Wales numbers falling off, now Jaco Peyper is off injured.”
Another wrote: “Whoever made those Wales shirts did a kak job of securing the numbers on them.”
A third supporter also added: “Whoever put the numbers on Wales’ shirts needs to apologise.”

Meanwhile, one more joked: “Cunning plan by @Cymru to use the old disappearing numbers trick on the jerseys today. TMO will be lost trying to identify a trouble maker if a row breaks out.”
The kit issue was one of several incidents during an eventful first half on Saturday afternoon.
Referee Jaco Peyper was forced off injured following Dan Biggar’s opening try for Wales.
He was replaced by English official Karl Dickson after hobbling off the field.
Wales’ new shirts failed to inspire them to victory, with Argentina winning 29-17.
Michael Cheika’s side will now face either New Zealand or Ireland in the semi-finals on Friday.
