Fergie won a record 13 Premier League titles during his 27 years at Old Trafford.

He worked with iconic players including Eric Cantona, Paul Scholes and Cristiano Ronaldo to turn United into a global force.

However, the Scot was never one for dissent.

Anyone who failed to toe the line was swiftly shown the door.

And Ince has explained how Fergie attempted to avoid these situations from day one by getting the inside track on the personal lives of potential signings.

Speaking on the new David Beckham Netflix documentary, Ince revealed Ferguson would ask three questions to determine whether the footballer in question was the right fit for United.

Ince said: “Sir Alex would buy players, not just because they were talented, he’d look at their backgrounds.
