COOLMORE have given Aidan O’Brien the nod to sell a load of their top horses.

And the staggering list includes one responsible for ‘one of the most incredible wins you will ever see’ just three weeks ago.

Remarkable!

Broadhurst lands the concluding €150,000 “Sovereign Path” Handicap – and just looks where he comes from at @LeopardstownRC!

Broadhurst ‘took off like Concorde’ when coming from dead last to first to land a 17-runner handicap at Leopardstown.

The astonishing victory saw jockey Ryan Moore hailed for producing the ‘ride of the century’ as Broadhurst swooped to land the £80,000 first-place prize.

But he is a surprise inclusion on a strong list of runners set to be sold at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training sale next month.

Another big name included from the Ballydoyle yard is Point Lonsdale.

A Group 2 winner at Chester earlier this year, Point Lonsdale won six of his 11 races and came second to Native Trail in the 2021 Group 1 Vincent O’Brien National Stakes.

Joining them on the list is Group 2 winner Aesop’s Fables, the once-promising Alexandroupolis and recent Melrose Handicap runner-up Denmark.

Listed winner Salt Lake City, dual winner The Caribbean and the promising Hiawatha are also on the sales sheet.

Given the sheer size of the operation at Ballydoyle it’s expected some of the horses have been picked to move on.

Although a number of punters were surprised at some of the choices.

One suggested Point Lonsdale could be aimed at races in the US rather than sold, and another agreed that flogging the horse was a ‘strange’ move.

Another person commented: “Broadhurst strange, produced one of the most visually stunning finishes this season.”

Some of the other names being sold include Group 1 winner Emaraaty Ana, 2021 King’s Stand runner-up Twilight Calls and Educator, who belongs to King Charles and Queen Camilla.
