He has been heavily linked with a return to Bramall Lane over the past week.

In the immediate aftermath of the Spurs loss, Wilder was touted as the leading candidate to replace head coach Paul Heckingbottom.
Wilder racked up 126 appearances for Sheffield United across two spells during his playing career.
He then took over as manager of the club in 2016 and enjoyed a successful five years at the helm.
He took them from League One to the Premier League within three seasons.
And they then finished ninth in their first campaign back in the top flight.
Wilder was sacked in 2021 with the club having picked up just 14 points from 28 games.

They would go on to be relegated under interim coach Heckingbottom – who went on to take over permanently later that year after Slavisa Jokanovic’s six-month stint came to an end.
Since leaving Sheffield United, Wilder has coached Middlesbrough and Watford.
He was in charge of Boro for 11 months before being sacked, winning 18 of his 45 games.
Watford then employed him in March of this year, but he left just two months later at the end of his contract following three wins from 11 matches.
