Harry Kane ‘had concerns about Man Utd owners the Glazers’ before mega-money summer transfer was KO’d

HARRY KANE has found himself being Bayern Munich’s new star man despite interest from Manchester United this summer.

But according to reports, a move to Old Trafford may have been unlikely anyway with Kane expressing concerns over the club’s ownership.

The Red Devils are said to have considered a move for the England captain during the summer window, but met a number of obstacles.

The Athletic have reported that Kane had doubts over heading north to join the Manchester giants from Spurs as they continue to have uncertainty around their ownership.

Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are currently battling it out to try and purchase the club off of the Glazer family.

But reports have suggested the Americans may take United off the market and wait until 2025 to re-list it with neither part currently meeting their asking price.

Ex-Man United players such as Gary Neville have spoken out against the Glazer’s ownership and there continues to be protests and unrest amongst supporters of the club.

The whirlwind of unpredictability reportedly swayed Kane’s head in the other direction and saw him end up at Bayern.

Although it would appear that a deal wouldn’t have been sanctioned by the Glazers anyway.

With The Athletic’s report suggesting Joel Glazer and chief executive Richard Arnold felt signing a 30-year-old was an unreasonable use of resources and so the club ultimately opted for Rasmus Hojlund instead.

Another barrier could’ve been Kane’s wage demands with the former Tottenham man reportedly asking for around £500,000 per week, whilst club officials are said to have thought Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wanted over £100m from a Premier League rival to let Kane go.
