Chelsea fans joke Mikel Arteta’s days in charge of Arsenal are numbered as they point out ‘curse’
CHELSEA fans have joked that a curse will soon strike Mikel Arteta and lead to him getting the sack.
The Arsenal boss took over the club in 2019, surviving criticism and pressure from supporters before turning the Gunners into title contenders.

Chelsea have gone in the opposite direction to their London rivals since lifting the Champions League two years ago and fans are hopeful things will change under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Blues faithful believe he will be helped by a lifted jinx that previously hit them, which is now coming for Arsenal.
A fan thinks the key is multiple manager’s decision not to drop an out of form Kai Havertz.
The German star struggled to perform consistently across his three seasons at Stamford Bridge after being signed by then boss Frank Lampard.
Havertz was selected regularly in both of the club legend’s spells as manager and both times he didn’t keep his job.
Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter both got the same comeuppance after ignoring calls for him to be benched.
The supposed curse struck again this week as Germany boss Hansi Flick became the first ever Die Mannschaft gaffer to be axed.
Havertz earned 20 caps for his national side under Flick, featuring in all but two of the 12 games they drew or lost during his tenure.

Arteta has stood by his £65m new signing, saying he needs time to settle in at Arsenal and bizarrely compared the situation to how he met his wife.
Havertz has started in all four league matches this season and is yet to score or assist, missing a huge chance to make himself a hero against Man Utd.
A hopeful Chelsea fan said if he isn’t dropped, “we know whats coming” for Arteta.
Another claimed: “They play better whenever he comes off, there’s no role for him there but Arteta wants to justify using £65m on him.”
But Arsenal fans hit back in defence of their player, saying: “Post anything in search of happiness… life of a Chelsea fan.”
Another reacted: “The difference is we don’t lose games at Arsenal.”
