WALES will take on Portugal in their second pool-stage match at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Warren Gatland’s side just about took the spoils in their thrilling opening match against Fiji.

The Fijians almost pulled off an epic late comeback, but Wales held strong to win 32-26 in Bordeaux.

After victory in their Rugby World Cup opener, the Dragons are in a great position to qualify for the quarter-finals as one of the top two teams in the pool.

Meanwhile, Portugal were the odd ones out in Pool C on the opening weekend as they were the only side not to feature in France.

Os Lobos are ranked 16th in the world and have never won a World Cup game, losing on all four occasions during their spell at the 2007 edition.
