Mudryk, 22, sat in a VIP box and was unveiled to the crowd at half-time following the confirmation of his £98million transfer.

Boehly also introduced the winger to his new team-mates by inviting him into the changing rooms ahead of kick-off, while the squad was going through their pre-match preparations.

But the Chelsea owner also allowed several of Mudryk’s entourage to join him, which shocked some players according to the Daily Mail.

Boehly has taken it upon himself to enter the dressing room on multiple occasions this season, including at the end of the Brighton defeat where he is believed to have launched an hour-long rant.

The American also went into the changing room after Chelsea’s Champions League exit to Real Madrid.

He did not speak to the group collectively and only spent around 10 minutes mingling with players, but there appears to be growing discontent amongst the squad.

“Look at some of the faces on those Chelsea players during the game on Tuesday. They looked angry. You can see why.”
