WREXHAM star Paul Mullin appeared to score a bizarre optical illusion goal but the mystery has now been solved.
The 28-year-old was in action against Aldershot in the National League when he seemed to score a hard to comprehend back heel.

Mullin raced clear of the defenders but the ball got stuck under his feet and it ended up behind him.
He thought quickly, spun and back heeled the ball and somehow managed to chip the goalkeeper.
Fan footage of the goal went viral and it left everyone baffled over how he managed to get the ball to bounce up for what would have been his hat-trick in the match.
However, there is a simple explanation when it comes to what really happened.
Another camera angle shows that Mullin’s effort in fact took a deflection of a charging back defender, which was hard to spot in the original video.
The strike ended up going down as a Corey Jordan own goal and Wrexham‘s main man had to settle for a brace.
Fans joked when realising they had been tricked by the initial video, one said: “We’ve been fooled.”
Phil Parkinson’s side went on to win the thriller 4-3 thanks to a 96th minute winner by Sam Dalby.

Mullin’s two in the game took his tally for the season to an incredible 32 goals in 36 games this season.
Wrexham currently sit second in the fifth tier of English football and look set for promotion to League Two.
