Man Utd complete huge boardroom shake up ahead of proposed takeover as new director hired after 27 years at Everton
MANCHESTER UNITED have appointed David Harrison as their new Director of Football Operations.
Harrison arrives at Old Trafford after 27 years at Everton, where he held the same position.

Harrison will report to Football Director John Murtough at Carrington.
Upon his appointment, Harrison said: “I’m excited to be taking this role at time of such opportunity and promise for Manchester United.
“I will always cherish my memories of 27 years at Everton and wish everyone at Goodison and Finch Farm all the best for the future.
“Now, my focus is on helping Manchester United create the best possible operating environment to support success on the pitch.”
Murtough, 52, added: “David is known as one of the most able and respected operators in football and we are delighted that he has chosen to join Manchester United.
“He will bring deep experience and knowledge to this important role, and add further strength to the support structure we are building around our football teams, to give our players and staff the best chance of success.”
Harrison previously worked in the Old Trafford ticket office, prior to joining Everton in 1995.
He will begin his new job at United next month, succeeding predecessor Alan Dawson, who had held the role for 11 years before leaving last July.

His responsibilities will include football administration, team travel and player support – working across the Red Devils’ men’s, women’s and academy teams.
Club Secretary Rebecca Britain will report to Harrison.
The news comes amid United receiving a number of proposed takeover bids, ahead of today’s soft deadline set by the Glazers.
Man United have received interest from the likes of British billionaire and boyhood fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe – as well as investors in Qatar.
While it emerged this morning that groups in Saudi Arabia are also prepared to join the race.
The deadline is at 10pm this evening.
