CHELTENHAM Festival Trails Day is here – and it looks like being an absolute cracker.

There are a whopping NINE races on the card, including the rearranged Clarence House Chase.

ITV schedule

Ed Chamberlin and Co will host the live action on the ITV main channel from 1.15pm until 4pm.

The Opening Show – which will be extended during Festival week – will run from 9.30am-10.30am on Saturday morning.

Key clashes

Champion Chase hero Energumene and Edwardstone get it on in the rearranged Clarence House Chase at 1.20pm.

While Gold Cup hopefuls Protektorat and Noble Yeats will do battle in the Cotswold Chase at 2.25pm.

Weather watch

There is still a forecast for temperatures to approach zero at Cheltenham racecourse.

Clerk of the course Jon Pullin said they are looking to deploy the frost covers on Thursday.
