Prem bosses have confirmed that next term will begin on August 12.

This date is 76 days after the final day of the 2022-23 campaign.

The final day will take place on Sunday, 19 May – with all matches going ahead simultaneously.

With the season not set to be interrupted by Covid-19 or the World Cup – the winter break will return.

This will take place between January 13 and 20.

Prem bosses have also confirmed that no matches will take place within 48 hours of each other over the festive period.

The proximity of matches over that time of year has been a major gripe for managers in recent years.

Last year, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: “Playing on the 26th and 28th, it’s just not right. I just say that because it is true.
