With 19 minutes left of the game, the ball went out for a Liverpool throw-in.

Harry Kane had scored for the hosts just seconds earlier after a Mohamed Salah first-half double.

And with momentum on Spurs’ side, Conte wanted Andy Robertson to take the throw quickly.

Spurs coach Cristian Stellini went to hand Robertson a ball, while Liverpool assistant manager Lijnders held another in his hands in the other dugout.

The Liverpool coach held up his hands to protest his innocence, before a row between the two dugouts broke out.

Spurs gaffer Conte was booked by referee Andy Madley for hitting the ball away.

It’s not the first time Conte has found himself in trouble with the officials.

He was banned from Spurs’ trip to Marseille last week after being sent off in the draw to Sporting for criticising the decision to disallow a late goal.
