LUKE LITTLER’S record breaking rookie player card sold for a staggering £15,000 following a huge bidding war.

The prodigy, 17, crushed Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in the PDC World Championships last week.

Official collectables company Topps UK announced the news.

Topps UK wrote on Instagram: “This incredible 1/1 @lukethenukelittler card recently ended on eBay with a winning bid of £14,667.00 – making it the most expensive darts card we have ever seen! 🤯

The card was one of the biggest hits from the wider set, featuring an on-card autograph and match-worn patch from Littler’s shirt.

The card shows a picture of Littler fist pumping the air in his signature purple and yellow shirt.

A total of 57 bids were made before a lucky punter finally nabbed it for just under £15,000.

Littler shared the post on his Instagram story.

Littler, who turns 18 on January 21, has won £1.5million in prize money since his Ally Pally defeat to Luke Humphries in January 2023.

He jetted off to Spain on Monday with his family to celebrate his historic win against MVG at the turn of the year.

Punters couldn’t believe their eyes when Luke, who is still not old enough to legally drink, walked into Players Sports Bar in Albir, Benidorm, on Wednesday night for a darts tournament.

He didn’t play but was there to cheer on his brother Leon, 21, while proudly posing for pictures with revellers.

The brothers are holidaying with parents Lisa Littler, 40, and Anthony Buckley, 43, Luke’s “biggest fans”.

The teen sensation was trying to keep a low profile in Manchester Airport’s lounge on Monday before his flight, which was delayed by a few hours due to snow on the runway.

Luke holidayed in Albir, less than four miles from Benidorm’s Old Town, with his parents last May following champions week.

The teenager is due to defend his title at the Bahrain Masters starting next week.
