Luke Littler is ‘making his biggest mistake to date’ after renting £6,000-a-month mansion, says darts legend

LUKE LITTLER is making a big mistake by renting a £6,000-a-month mansion, according to darts legend Dennis Priestley.

The teenage sensation, 17, is understood to have moved his family from their £180,000 two-bed semi to a flashy property on “Millionaires Row” in Warrington.

It comes after a whirlwind 12 months for Littler which has seen his net worth exceed £600,000.

But Priestley, who won the BDO and PDC world championships in 1991 and 1994, has advised Littler to buy rather than rent.

Speaking to OLGB, he said: “If he’s only renting it’s one of the biggest mistakes he’s made and his advisors have made.

“Why rent when you should be putting your money into bricks and mortar and it being your own house, not paying £6,000 per month to rent a mansion.

“I’m no accountant but hopefully someone has advised Luke.

“Whether he’s been told to rent temporarily to boost his tax return I don’t know but I’ve never seen the benefits of renting when the money Luke is paying each month could be going to a mortgage.

“If he is renting then it doesn’t make sense to me.”

Littler’s rise in darts is not only garnering financial rewards but also celebrity status.

Inside Littler’s massive rise

LUKE LITTLER has taken the darts world by storm since exploding onto the scene at the PDC World Championship at the beginning of the year.

The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age – smashing records along the way.

He has then gone on to win a host of PDC events and the Premier League title – which he claimed at the O2 Arena by beating world champion Luke Humphries in May.

He also finished his first season in the World Series as the No1 ranked player.

He has joined Jude Bellingham on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list.

And the teenage titan even had to snub an invite from the WWE.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Littler is plotting to create a fitness empire.

He is also cashing in away from the Oche thanks to an Instagram side hustle.
