DENVER BRONCOS wide receiver Josh Reynolds was shot in the head and rushed to hospital.

Two men have been arrested for attempted first-degree murder following the incident in the Denver area last week.

Josh Reynolds was shot twice in Denver last week

Reynolds was reportedly shot twice after leaving a strip club in the early hours of the morning last Friday, according to court documents.

He was allegedly shot once in the left arm and once in the back of the head, along a stretch of Interstate 25 south of downtown.

The 29-year-old was taken to hospital at 3am on 18 October for minor injuries.

Denver Police confirmed two men were arrested shortly after the shooting and are being held under investigation for attempted murder and first-degree assault.

Reynolds and another man left the club in an SUV and later told police they were followed by multiple vehicles and shots were fired.

The injured unnamed friend was shot in the back, while a third victim was wounded by shattered glass.

A Broncos statement read: “Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries.

“Out of respect for the legal process we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities.”

Reynolds scored a touchdown against the Las Vegas Raiders on October 6

Reynolds is currently on the Broncos’ injured reserve list after surgery for a fractured finger.

He sustained the injury against the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this month.
