Stan Kroenke’s net worth: Arsenal fans demand January transfer splurge as owner named in 100 wealthiest people list

ARSENAL owner Stan Kroenke has been named as one of the top 100 wealthiest people on the planet.

Kroenke, 77, has been named as the 99th richest person on earth in Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index.

It’s estimated that the Gunners’ American owner is worth a whopping £15.9BILLION ($20.7bn).

Earning his fortune through real estate, Kroenke is now the owner and founder of Kroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) – a company which owns NINE different sports teams across the globe.

Arsenal are of course one of those teams, and as a result Gunners fans are calling for their chief to splash the cash upon learning of his astronomical wealth.

On social media, one wrote: “Kroenkes! Let’s work on the January window!”

While another pleaded: “He should be able to finance the team. Go to Madrid and bring us Jude Bellingham. A midfield of Jude, Declan Rice and Odegaard can win a lot of trophies”.

A third commented: “Open the cheque book and sign Nico Williams in January”.

And a fourth joked: “BUY ME A STRIKER!”

Kroenke has bankrolled the Gunners to the tune of over £600MILLION since Mikel Arteta took charge of the Emirates outfit in 2019.

That investment includes splashing £105m on Declan Rice and a further £65m on Kai Havertz.

Although Stan Kroenke is the man with the wallet, it’s his son Josh that is responsible for most of the day-to-day work in north London, holding the role as Arsenal’s director and co-chair alongside his dad.

KSE split their efforts across their nine different sports teams which include NFL side the LA Rams, NBA team the Denver Nuggets and MLS the Colorado Rapids.

While they also own the stadiums that their teams play, including Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and the LA Rams’ stunning new £4BILLION SoFi Stadium.
