German Darts Championship 2024 prize money: How much is on offer as Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen return?
THE world’s top darts players return to action this weekend when the German Darts Championship returns.
Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Dave Chisnall and Luke Littler are among the seeded players for the tournament in Hildesheim – although reigning world champion Luke Humphries will enjoy a well earned rest.
What is the German Darts Championship 2024 prize money?
The German Darts Championship kicks off on Friday, August 30 and is the ninth of 13 PDC European Tour darts events this season.
Ricardo Pietreczko will be looking to defend the title he won last year after an 8-4 win over Peter Wright.
A total of £175,000 is up for grabs – the breakdown is as follows:
Winner: £30,000
Runner-up: £12,000
Semi-finalists: £8,500
Quarter-finalists: £6,000
Third round losers: £4,000
Second round losers: £2,500*
First round losers: £1,250*
*Pre-qualified players from the Orders of Merit who lose in their first match of the event shall not be credited with prize money on any Order of Merit. A player who qualifies as a qualifier, but later becomes a seed due to the withdrawal of one or more other players shall be credited with their prize money on all Orders of Merit regardless of how far they progress in the event.
