Olympics 2024 fan slams ‘scam of the century’ and demands refund after being left ‘in shock’ at closing ceremony gaffe
THE OLYMPICS have been slammed as the “scam of the century” by one fan after the closing ceremony.
The final show of the Games featured famous musicians such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg and Billie Eilish.

They were among the advertised performers, and there was a surprise appearance from actor Tom Cruise.
However, not all of them were on show in Paris as the musical trio were, in fact, in LA and performed via a live stream.
The acts were in the USA, which will be the host of the 2028 Games.
One fan who attended the Stade de France in the hope of seeing the acts was left fuming.
TikTok user @Hilaryinparis uploaded a video slamming the show to her 11.2k followers.
She said: “Scam of the century.
“I’m livid. I want a refund.
“I totally get passing the torch but passing it like this and not letting Paris like own closing the ceremony and own it on a high – I’m literally in shock.”

Hilary also admitted that she paid £213.50 for her ticket to the closing ceremony.
She was not the only fan to be left bemused by the show.
Amanda Rollins shared on TikTok: “What just happened?
“I know that they did not just advertise this as confirmed musical guests Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg and Billie Eilish and then have those three artists Zoom in.
“They wouldn’t do us like that. I am clearly hallucinating right.”
To add to the confusion, Snoop Dogg was actually in Paris for much of the Olympics.
The rapper served as a torchbearer and as a correspondent for NBC.
