David De Gea offered chance to revive career by beaten European finalists as ex-Man Utd star outlines his demands
DAVID DE GEA has been offered the chance to return to football after over a year without a club.
The Spanish goalkeeper has been a free agent since leaving Manchester United last summer.

De Gea has since been linked with the likes of Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and Real Betis.
Clubs in Saudi Arabia have also been interested in the 33-year-old but a move never materialised.
The former United man’s wage demands have largely been credited with his failure to find a new club after causing a deal with Genoa to collapse earlier this summer.
However, he could now be set to sign for another Italian club.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina have been in contact with De Gea and his representatives.
The Serie A side are looking to sign a new goalkeeper, with discussion taking place to outline De Gea’s wage demands.
He is seeking a one-year deal with the option of a further year, the report adds.
De Gea has also requested £2.5million-a-year including add-ons rising to £3.5million in his second season.

Fiorentina are fresh from reaching the Conference League final last season, where they were beaten for the second year in a row.
They will once again appear in the competition this season, though, with De Gea having the chance to feature later this month if his deal goes through.

MANCHESTER UNITED plan to build a new stadium rather than redevelop Old Trafford.
The decision was made after a number of fact-finding missions to other stadiums including the Bernabeu and Nou Camp.
The cost of the project is expected to be a staggering £2billion.
A capacity of 100,000 is expected.
It is felt that a club of United’s standing should have a new state-of-the-art facility.
The new stadium will be built on land adjacent to the Red Devils’ current home.
United are looking to not only build a stadium but regenerate the area of Trafford where the ground will stand.
They plan to KEEP Old Trafford rather than demolish it, and use it as a second venue.
They will scale it down to a 30,000-seater that can then be used for the women’s team and academy matches.
That would mean the history remains with statues and the Munich clock and memorial plaque all most likely staying in their current positions.
The club consulted with 30,000 fans about what to do and believe there is roughly a 50-50 split on staying or moving.
Old Trafford has been United’s home since 1910.
The target is for completion by 2030.
Raffaele Palladino’s side enter in the play-off round, where they will face either Ararat-Armenia or Puskas Akademia.
The new Fiorentina boss has already been busy in the transfer window too ahead of De Gea’s possible arrival.
Former Everton striker Moise Kean is amongst the additions, signing from Juventus on a five-year deal.
