Scott Parker lands new job as he returns to English football after being sacked by Club Brugge just 12 GAMES into role
SCOTT PARKER has reportedly “completed” his deal to become Burnley’s new manager.
The former England midfielder, 43, took over Belgian giants Club Brugge in December 2022.

But his side were hammered 5-1 at Benfica to result in a 7-1 aggregate thrashing in the Champions League last-16.
And that proved to be the final straw as Brugge sacked him just three months later after just two wins from his 12 matches in charge.
Parker’s first job in management was at Fulham in 2019 and he led them to Premier League promotion in 2020 via the play-offs.
He quit Craven Cottage a year later for Bournemouth, and he guided them to automatic promotion during his first season at the helm.
However, despite that success, he was sacked by the Cherries just four games into the 2022/23 top-flight campaign after a 9-0 hammering at Liverpool.
Parker, who played for Charlton, Chelsea, Newcastle, West Ham, Tottenham and Fulham in his heyday, has been out of work since his Brugge axe.
Now he has finally landed himself a new job back on these shores, according to Fabrizio Romano, who claimed he has also already completed his first signing.
He posted on X: “Scott Parker has signed in as new Burnley manager, deal completed.

“First signing: Lucas Pires from Santos, as revealed earlier this week. Documents are signed.”
Pires, 23, is a left-back that is set to head to Turf Moor from Brazilian club Santos.
Parker will take over from Vincent Kompany, who left for Bayern Munich despite suffering relegation from the Premier League last term.
Now the 18-time capped ex-Three Lions’ ace will be hoping to resurrect his managerial career by leading Burnley to an instant return to the top-flight.
His team will begin their promotion quest with a trip to Luton, who were also relegated last season, on August 12.
