2022 U17 WAFU B: Golden Eaglets Secure 2023 AFCON Ticket After Semifinal Win Against Côte d’Ivoire
The Nigeria U17 Golden Eaglets displayed yet another impressive performance in the semifinal clash of the ongoing WAFU B Tournament against Côte d’Ivoire in Ghana.
Recall that speaking at a press conference on Monday, the coach of the side, Nduka Ugbade had told the boys the importance of the game and how it is the ‘Match of their lives’.

The Eaglets continued asking more questions from the Ivorians as Emmanuel Michael scored yet another free-kick goal in the 43rd minute to give Nigeria the lead.
The goal that ensured the win for the Eaglets came in the 60th minute from Abdullahi Abubakar as the game ended 3-1 to Nigeria.
This was enough to take Nigeria to the finals of the tournament.
Emmanuel Michael was rewarded with the Man of the Match award for the third time in the tournament and also a strong contender for player of the tournament.
The win against Ivory Coast confirms Nigeria’s qualification for 2023 U17 AFCON.
