Trainer Jamie Snowden confirms shock Ryanair plan for Cheltenham specialist ‘in form of his life’

JAMIE SNOWDEN is set to reroute Cheltenham specialist Ga Law to a wide-open Ryanair Chase.

The Ryanair had looked at the mercy of the Willie Mullins-trained Allaho before he was forced out due to an injury.

Banbridge is now an uneasy 5-2 favourite and with that horse needing good ground, the race is lacking a standout.

And Snowden reckons Ga Law, who had been touted for the Plate Handicap, could be the horse to fill that void.

Snowden said: “Ga Law has won a Paddy Power at Cheltenham and a race on Trial’s Day. He’s in the Plate but we’re looking to supplement him for the Ryanair.

“He schooled really well on Monday and is in the form of his life. He was fifth last year on the back of a really nasty fall which probably prevented him from giving his best.

“He comes into the Festival this year in much, much better form and I think he can ruffle some feathers.”

Snowden also has high hopes for Git Maker and Hardy Du Seuil, but is relying on some luck for the latter to sneak into the Grand Annual.

He added: “Git Maker has won six of his ten starts and is still relatively unexposed – he has a few options but has a chance wherever he turns up.

“Hardy Du Seuil was third on his belated comeback and he’s in great form – I’m praying he can sneak into the Grand Annual.”
