Horse racing tips: Daryl Jacob looks an absolute shoo-in on Templegate’s NAP

BALLYCOOSE (3.05 Ayr, nap)
Trainer Stuart Crawford has already brought his improving chaser over from Ireland to win at the Scottish track. That was his first time tackling fences and he looked a real natural, jumping well and tanking along from the front. The handicapper has been fair with a 5lb rise in the weights for what looked an emphatic success. He drops back in trip here but the testing ground will bring his proven stamina into play and there’s a lot more to come with Daryl Jacob in the saddle.
HARBOUR VISION (5.30 Wolverhampton, nb)
He has been knocking on the door and pushed a pre-race gamble to a photo finish here last time out. That was over this distance and he’s up just a 1lb for a run that looked more than good enough to win this modest contest. He always saves his best for Wolverhampton and has scored here four times, including over today’s trip. This looks a good chance to make it number five.
I AM MAX (4.10 Ayr, treble)
Scottish trainer Sandy Thomson looks to have a nice type on his hands after he absolutely bolted up in a Carlisle bumper earlier this month. That was an impressive racecourse debut and connections have wasted no time in sending him over hurdles. He showed a high cruising speed and charged up the Cumbrian track’s hill so should have no problem following up.
DOCTOR VUBY (7.00 Wolverhampton, Lucky 15 bet)
We haven’t seen a lot of this three-year-old but he created a good impressive when finishing a close second on handicap debut at Chelmsford last time. The Mick and David Easterby runner is back from the same mark and can take a step forward from what should be a decent draw.
