The Black Stars of Ghana could not score a goal in spite of the massive support they enjoyed from the fans at the stadium. The Vociferous fans of Kumasi ensured the stadium was full enough to send shivers down the spines of their Nigeria opponents.

This was an amazing scene as the National team had not enjoyed this at their favourite stadium since 2015. The had it rough from the fans after the poor show at 2014 World Cup.

But the fans used this opportunity to make peace with the team and they defiled all security measures to break four gates and enter the stadium before the game. They produced deafening noise to motivate the Stars to victory but they was not enough as the Nigerians held the Stars to a stalemate. A section of the Nigeria fans were also present.

It must be noted that the Sports Authorities introduced the E-Ticket system for the first time to avoid gate crash and give fans easy access into the stadium but internet challenges made it difficult for most fans to get their codes for the ticket. This also contributed to the gate break as many fans wanted to be present.

Ghana travel to Abuja on Tuesday to face the Super Eagles in the second leg to decide who goes through to Qatar 2022.
