Bankrupt Wes Brown smiles as tailor jokes ex-£50k-a-week Man Utd star is ‘so washed up he can’t afford a suit’

FORMER Manchester United legend Wes Brown was bizarrely mocked by a tailor as he went to buy a suit.

The 44-year-old retired defender was reportedly declared bankrupt in April.

Brown is currently in Hong Kong and made a visit to Sam’s Tailor, who has 1.8million followers on TikTok.

The ex-England star is seen in the clip wearing a tattered blue suit that is missing an arm.

Brown is introduced by shop owner and internet sensation Roshan Melwani as a Man Utd hero.

But he then begins roasting the ex-£50,000-a-week player.

Melwani joked: “The problem with ex-footballers is that they’re so washed up, they can’t even afford a suit.

“They can afford a partial suit.

“No buttons, no stitches. Just tacked together with a pin.”

Melwani then rips the suit off Brown and continues: “But if I strip the old journeyman down – journeyman, haha – you’ll see nothing inside.

Fans were left baffled by the video, one said: “Bit random.”

Another added: “Hold up a minute, no violating Wes Brown for the views.”

More reacted: “The link up nobody asked for but everyone needed.”

To all the comments that expressed confusion about the tailor’s work, he simply replied: “It’s part of the service.”

How Brown went from riches to rags

WES BROWN went bankrupt over a huge debt to the taxman and a car company.

He supposedly lost millions in failed property ventures and slipped into a six-figure debt.

Two creditors lobbied for the ex-footballer to be made bankrupt.

Brown was paid £50,000-a-week during his best days at Man Utd, living the life of luxury.

He was married to Leanne from Real Housewives of Cheshire – but divorced in 2021 – and they have three kids together.

Their separation was reportedly costly and he lost millions buying a farm that his ex-wife now lives on as well as another house.

Brown now lives in a “modest pad” owned by Marcus Rashford, who is offering him a “mate’s rates” deal.
