His current WBT (World Bowls Tour) world ranking is 6, but he has previously been the No.1 ranked indoor bowls player.
He is affectionately referred to in the world of bowls as “The Ginger Ninja”.
In 2022 Nick won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
He started playing at the age of 11 when he filled in for his dad’s team in a league match.

“They were short a player and asked me to come in. I didn’t do too badly, and kept progressing from there.”
In spite of a glittering career and being famous within indoor and lawn bowls circles, perhaps Nick’s biggest claim to fame is playing the ‘the greatest bowls shot of all time’ — which went viral.
Brett, 49, bowled his ball through an incredibly tight gap between the red-guarding balls.
His green ball made it through and knocked the jack to rest upon another one of his balls as the audience erupted.
The clip of the shot went viral on social media, with millions of people watching it online.
Brett has admitted to being a “technophobe” and missed how “massive” the moment went.
He told the Daily Star: “I only realised late on in the evening and into the next day.
“A few of my friends texted me, because I’m a bit of a technophobe I guess.
“It went massive, didn’t it?
“People were retweeting it and commenting about it and it was getting loads of views.
“So maybe the next day, sort of time, was when I realised.”
