The Ally Pally wasp is back as insect attaches itself to Trump’s waistcoat.. but it doesn’t stop him making century

THE ALLY PALLY wasp appears to have made a dramatic comeback at the Masters Snooker.

Judd Trump and Ali Carter’s quarter-final clash at Alexandra Palace on Friday was interrupted by the insect.

Trump played the entirety of the sixth frame with the wasp on the back of his waistcoat.

However, it could not stop him from making a century as he reduced his opponent’s lead.

The Ace in the Pack was unaware of the wasp until the closing moments of the break, when the referee intervened.

They could be seen asking him to stop so the insect could be brushed off his back, before appearing to stamp on it once it fell to the floor.

Once the action had resumed, Trump completed a 129 break to reduce Carter’s lead to 4-3.

The winner of their match will take on either Mark Selby or Mark Allen in the last four on Saturday.

Snooker fans were quick to react to the wasp’s cameo on social media, with one writing: “Judd Trump playing high level snooker with a wasp attached to the back of his waist coat…”

Another viewer added: “Is that the highest ever break while carrying a wasp?”

Meanwhile, a third jokingly commented: “Cracking day for insects today.”

This week’s Masters has already been disrupted by a wasp, with the insect causing chaos on Monday.

Jack Lisowski was seen wildly swinging his cue in an attempt to swat it on route to beating world champion Luca Brecel.

His antics came after the infamous Ally Pally wasp had wreaked havoc on the PDC World Darts Championship.

Teenage sensation Luke Littler appeared to be stung by the insect during his quarter-final win over Brendan Dolan on New Year’s Day.
