The promising defender spent part of last season on loan at Oldham Atheltic.

He made five appearances for the National League side, but his spell at Boundary Park was cut short due to injury.

Since returning to Wigan, Carragher has featured for the club’s U21s side.

However, he has only featured for the senior team in the Bristol Street Motor’s Trophy in November.

Carragher signed a two-year contract with Wigan last April, which runs until 2025.
