The deal to sign the Romanian central defender will cost the North London outfit £21.5million.

Dragusin, 21, has also had interest from the likes of Bayern Munich, Napoli and Manchester United.

However, Spurs have won the race to sign the Serie A-based star according to multiple reports.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that one part of the deal will include Djed Spence heading to Genoa on loan.

The full-back spent the first half of the season on loan at Leeds but failed to cement himself in the first team.

The former Middlesborough and Nottingham Forest ace had his loan cancelled at the start of the transfer window.

Spence is now expected to spend the remainder of the season in Italy.

The 23-year-old joined Tottenham from Boro in 2022 but has only managed to make six appearances for the club.

Last January he was sent on loan to Ligue 1 outfit Stade Rennais, where he played ten times.

Since returning from Yorkshire, Spence has been training with the under-21s.

SunSport understands that few Championship clubs have shown interest in borrowing Spence because of how things went at Elland Road.

It was expected that the club would put him up for sale with the aim of boosting their transfer funds.

His contract with Spurs will run until 2027.

Tottenham are also expected to sign former Chelsea striker Timo Werner this month.

The German is set to arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on loan from RB Leipzig.
