Littler, 16, made it all the way to the final only to be beaten at the last hurdle by now world No1 Luke Humphries.
Humphries won the thrilling final by coming from behind to take the crown with a 7-4 win at Ally Pally.
Following the final, the pair both appeared on Sky Sports News and ended up speaking about football.
Littler is an avid Manchester United fan and has been invited to Old Trafford by the club.
He also received stadium tour tickets for his Christmas present.
Sky’s host Paton chuckled while asking Littler: “Luke, you’ve got messages from David Beckham, Luke Shaw, Gary Neville.
“It’s no secret you are a Man United fan, what do you make of their season?”
To which the darts star replied: “Why you laughing? Why you laughing?”

He did go on to answer the question as he said: “It’s been difficult with the injuries we’ve got and everyone’s saying Ten Hag out and this and that.
“But I say give him time and when the players are all back fit let’s see who he chooses.”
Littler was also asked who he would like the Red Devils to buy during the January transfer window.
He admitted that despite the arrival of Atalanta ace Rasmus Hojlund, he would like the club to go in for another striker from Serie A.
He said: “We just bought Rasmus Hojlund for loads of money but I’d probably get [Victor] Osimhen from Napoli.”
Victor Osimhen has become one of the best strikers in Europe in the last two years and would likely command a fee of over £120million.
He recently signed a new contract with Napoli that will run until 2026.
